Re: “The INDY’s Endorsements for the N.C. General Assembly

Have you lost your minds?????
There is NO Republican who will be more effective than Mike Woodard. Your logic fails. Utterly.

In all Mike's years of public service, he has been the Energizer Bunny, seemingly in multiple places at once. He has been an outspoken voice on progressive issues. He has tirelessly sought to reach across the aisle even in these acrimonious times.

Your recommendation of a Republican for that seat is pure-T boneheaded dumb dumb dumb. Take it back!

Re: “Raleigh outdoor dining woes, Durham discomfort

That's a cheap & unfair shot at the Realtors who worked with homebuyers in StoneHill and Ravenstone. Put the blame on local government for failing to require a sufficient bond in the event of the developer going belly-up. Put the blame on the developer for walking away from their obligation to the buyers. The developer and builders from out of town are gone. The Realtors, right here, are still here, and in many cases are friends and neighbors with their buyers. These Realtors provided their clients with information provided by the builders & developers. Do you really think the Realtors who worked with these buyers *knew* that the City/County of Durham did not require an adequate bond to cover paving the road properly in the event the developer declared bankruptcy? Do you really think these Realtors *knew* the market was going to go to hell? Do you *really* think these Realtors knew that local government would be unsuccessful in negotiating a settlement that would require the developer to pave the roads? Get real. If that were the case, buyers would sue their agents, but that's not where the blame lies. C'mon, Indy, you can do better.

Re: “Live: Sorry, Jason Isbell, but Sturgill Simpson is too good

You based your review on incomplete information. You're better than that. There's a reason Jason Isbell took Album, Song of the Year and Artist of the Year at the 2014 Americana Music Awards - competing with the likes of Rosanne Cash, Patty Griffin, Robert Ellis, Sarah Jaroscz, and Rodney Crowell. Jason Isbell's show was excellent. It was a treat to hear so many songs from Southeastern, and "Elephant" sure hit home as a caregiver to a dying cancer patient. Isbell's lyrics are smart, and people listen to them. Can't hear 'em if you're hollering. He rocked it out on plenty of songs, too. It was a damn good show & I sure got my money's worth. Too bad you missed it.

Re: “Greta Garbo's extreme close-up, some fond farewells and an erased mural

So, did I miss the public meeting to be called by Caktus group? No? Did they ever intend to have one? A question for the intrepid reporters at the Indy...
