Re: “Live: Making sense of Lindsey Stirling in Raleigh

As a father of a young son who picked up the Violin because of her I have to say you are very, very wrong. Sure Lindsey may not be a virtuoso and she may keep her music somewhat safe (She sort of has to with all she's got going on during her performance ya know) but she inspires. She also exudes joy in her videos, in person and on stage. One thing that I have always been impressed with about her, since my son first showed me one of her YouTube videos, is how much she absolutely loves what she does. She's amazingly effervescent and her joy translates to the audience. Her music is also fun to listen to. It may not be Mozart but it's fun to hear and her videos are also a lot of fun to watch. Two of my favorites were Skyrim and her Lord of the Rings tribute.

If it weren't for Lindsey my son probably wouldn't have picked up music at all. But he chose the violin, and he loves it more than anything.
