Elizabeth Hudson

When: Fri., Dec. 10, 2-3 p.m. 2010

Our State magazine uniquely unveils and celebrates the little-known people and the well-worn places of beautiful North Carolina. Meet the editor, Elizabeth Hudson, and learn more about the magazine's past, present and future at this event, conveniently held in one of our state's retail gems, McIntyre's Books. It's also a great excuse to unwind in a divinely independently owned bookstore where kids are welcome. You can even spend the day in this proudly sustainable village and dine in the only five-star green restaurant in the country. The program runs from 2–3 p.m. and is free. —Christina Cass
