Describing something not LSD as synthetic LSD is about as stupid as it gets. Maybe describe it as "A drug sold as LSD that wasn't LSD."

Deaths from LSD ingestion are next to non-existant. If little Timmy would have taken LSD he would be alive today. But little Timmy can't get legal pure, properly dosed LSD because that is illegal. So little Timmy must resort to buying questional chemicals from questionable people made in questionable places.

LSD didn't kill little Timmy. 25i-Nbome didn't kill little Timmy. An poorly thought out national drug policy killed little Timmy and thousands like him.
