Re: “Durham Commissioners Consider Adding a New “City-Center” Light-Rail Stop Downtown

along with the addition of the NCCU extension steps in the right direction, but still chairs on the Titanic.

Re: “Capitol Broadcasting Wants Community Input on Its American Tobacco Campus Expansion. By God We're Going to Give It to Them.

I want to acknowledge how lucky Durham is to have such incredible leaders in the community as provided by the Goodmon family.

Re: “GoTriangle Will Soon Learn Whether Light Rail Will Move to the Next Stage of the Grant Application Process

From last weeks discussion in reply to nearly identical article:

Having watched this discussion since the mid to late 90's, the obfuscated origins of the current alignment is a ruinous mistake and must be re examined in order to prioritize a straight modification of the 15-501 corridor, which is the problem we are trying to solve -in coorination to the "EF" redesign, (in addition to the 54 corridor traffic problem, similar, but not to be confused)

Go Triangle has done a tremendous job of privitazing public input and squelching open dialogue.

Re: “If Durham and Orange County Want Light Rail, They’ll Have to Pay Up

The financing should be through the newly created 50 and 100 year bonds Wall Street is now using.

The comments including 'So many empty buses running all over the place' and 'Shame on those who continue to represent that DOLRT is an alternative to roads and congestion' fail to understand the primary benefit of rail in the triangle-by providing a structural backbone to sprawl. Which I don't blame them for, but to the fatal flaw being propagated by the 'Go Triangle' bureaucracy with the current alignment, which does not exploit this weakness.

Re: “Don’t let Durham Police headquarters screw up East Main Street

Alrighty, got my Indy at dinner, 28 hours left to respond to idea of spending 62 million dollars for a public safety building to keep its agents away from the public. What's to think about?
