Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors

When: Thu., Aug. 29, 8 p.m. 2013
Price: $12-15
Coming across like a Southern iteration of the radio-friendly English singer-songwriter David Gray, Drew Holcomb and his band the Neighbors have a pleasant acoustic sound that reflects the gently rolling hills of their Tennessee environs. If their music won't set the house afire, its mass-appeal melodicism has proven a good fit for TV placement on such series as Army Wives and House. The Neighbors include Drew's wife, Ellie Bannister Holcomb, who shares in the songwriting and occasionally contributes a sweet lead vocal that complements her husband's smooth stylings. Opening the show are fellow Tennesseans Caleb, a trio featuring brothers Caleb and Will Chapman whose full-length debut When I Was Younger is due out this fall. —Peter Blackstock
