Dracula | Theatre In The Park | Stage | Indy Week

Ira David Wood IV returns as the man with the hypodermic smile. Wood made a compelling matinee idol of the original sexy beast in Temple Theatre's Dracula last October. We called it "self-assured, charismatic and totally devoid of conscience." One year later, Theatre in the Park executive director Ira David Wood III attempts a theatrical upgrade, directing his son in the adaptation Wood III wrote and starred in at TIP 37 years ago. Caroline Millington and Kelly McConkey are menaced as Mina and Lucy; Tony Pender is the vampire's nemesis, Van Helsing. With special effects by designer Steve Larson. 7:30 p.m. Fri.–Sat. and Thurs. Sept. 17;

3 p.m. Sun., $16–$22, 107 Pullen Road, 919-831-6058,
