Doug Stanhope

When: Sat., Feb. 26, 7:45 p.m. 2011
Price: $20

So we're pretty sure Doug Stanhope's standup comedy act might not be for everyone. It might be because the British magazine GQ profiled him in a piece titled, "Is This America's Most Depraved Man?" It might be that he self-published a book collecting his efforts at "baiting" online predators by creating false underage profiles and then mocking them in e-chats (you may not find Fun With Pedophiles at your local library). Or it might be that after initially declaring he would run for president in the 2008 election, he then started a (now-defunct) website called www.savingbristol.com to pay for Sarah Palin's daughter's abortion. Whatever the case, there's a fair chance you'll come out of his show either deeply offended or just not liking yourself. Dare to find out at 7:45 p.m. —Zack Smith
