Doris Buffett & Michael Zitz

When: Sun., March 6, 3 p.m. 2011

What would you do with millions of dollars? Most of us would probably say something along the lines of: get out of crippling debt, take a vacation, then buy a jetpack. But Doris Buffett, like her brother Warren, is devoted to the idea of philanthropy, giving away more than $100 million in her lifetime (though Warren probably does have a jetpack). She'll appear with author Michael Zitz, who profiled her in the new book Giving It All Away: The Doris Buffett Story, for an interview with Frank Stasio of WUNC-FM's The State of Things. The free event starts at 3 p.m.; if they take audience questions, don't ask for money. It's just in bad taste. —Zack Smith
