Don't forget Mike Gravel

The article "Time to tune in for the May 6 primary" (March 12, by Bob Geary, Fiona Morgan and Mosi Secret) begins with "In seven weeks, North Carolina voters may have the chance to help choose the next occupant of the White House —for the first time in two decades," and then includes a section headed "Clinton v. Obama."

While the brief opening segment on presidential candidates focused on the political gaming tactics of the current political culture, I strongly believe folks want and need substance about the presidential candidates.

U.S. Sen. Mike Gravel, one of three Democratic candidates for president, was not mentioned in your article. Gravel is still a candidate and is on the North Carolina primary ballot.

People are interested to find and create solutions to the current crises facing America. Gravel delivers a courageous, hopeful and viable set of policy alternatives—real solutions to real problems, not just empty rhetoric around "change."

To learn more about Gravel's position on vital domestic and foreign policy issues facing the United States at this point in time, visit www.gravel2008.us. To learn more about and vote on The National Initiative for Democracy, visit www.NI4D.us.

Gravel's book, Citizen Power: A Mandate for Change, with a foreword by Ralph Nader, can be found at www.citizen-power.us.

Thank you in advance for bringing these resources to the attention of your reading public.
