Don Dixon, Lynn Blakey & Ecki Heins

When: Wed., July 10, 8 p.m. 2013
Price: $5

It's a shame that N.C. expat Don Dixon isn't joined by his wife Marti Jones to make this a two-couple bill, especially given that his most recent record, last year's Living Stereo, consisted of duets with her. Still, any visit from the renowned producer and songwriter—who moved to Jones' native Ohio after his impressive '80s run producing albums for R.E.M., the Smithereens, the Reivers and others—is welcome, whether for a reunion with the locally legendary rock band Arrogance or for a solo show such as this. Lynn Blakey, one of the Triangle's finest female voices, teams with her husband, violinist Ecki Heins, who she met on tour in Germany a decade ago. —Peter Blackstock
