Don "DC" Curry refers to himself as "the Don of comedy." But he might as well call himself "the uncle of comedy." Most people know him as Uncle Elroy, Ice Cube's weed-smoking, playa-rific uncle from the movies Next Friday and Friday After Next. Onstage, the always-dapper dude projects a blustery, swole-in-the-chest swagger (his voice often reaching a high-pitched peak when he gets particularly turnt-up) that will probably remind you of that slick-as-baby-shit uncle you have—the one who shows up at family reunions with a bottle of Crown Royal he's already been dipping into, starting loud arguments with family members and acting a damn fool whenever music starts playing. With Brian Deans. —Craig D. Lindsey
