Re: “Fourth down for Friday Night Lights

I have some thoughts on why FNLs doesn't have more viewers.

Consider me a "typical viewer." I distinctly remember seeing FNLs' Pilot when it first ran. I thought it was the best pilot I'd ever seen. And I believe I watched the show until "Wind Sprints" aired

Then, life got in the way. And NBC moved the poor show all over the place on the schedule sans much advertising.

Then, the writers strike happened. Season 2,by all accounts, is not FNLs best season. And it's not all about the Landry/Tyra murder plot. The strike really hurt the show.

Then, last spring, in the middle of Season 3, I found FNLs accidentally on NBC. And I LOVED IT! And got hooked. And I spent last summer on Netflix and buying DVDs to get caught up on all the episodes. The more I watched, the more I loved.

I've seen Season 4 on Direct TV. It is, IMO, the best season since Season 1. Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton (as well as Zach Gilford) all deserve Emmys for Season 4 acting!!! Not the nomination ... but the actual statues.

"Someone" at 30 Rock is my hero for keeping this show on the network. NBC doesn't deserve to have a show of this quality, but for our sake (the fans), I'm so glad NBC is airing Season 4 and Season 5 (which is now being filmed.) I will happily watch it again (and again until Season 5 airs).

And thank YOU for promoting this awesome show!
