Re: “North Carolina races

Even more baffling Dist 39 Voter is the fact that this newspaper endorsed Jackson over Linda Coleman in a previous election.

Excellence is not found in the Jackson ranking at 85. Even if only a feshman, this district - Garner, Knightdale, Raleigh, Wendell, Zebulon, Rolesville - do deserve a top ten legislator not a bottom 80!

"Serving well" is not measured by one speech; it is measured by representing the people well all the time. When one looks at the bills introduced by Jackson on the legislative page, he appears to be serving whom? not me!

He introduced an auto liability insurance bill to make money for attorneys but my rates would go up. Lucky for us, his ineffectiveness prevented the bill from going anywhere.

I met Jeanne Bonds and she is a public servant, putting people first. That is probably why SEANC endorsed her. She stepped aside after 9 years so the Town of Knightdale could elect its first African American Mayor, Doug Boyd, after she was the first female Mayor. She said then that she had served and accomplished and wanted to ensure others were able to do the same.

That is the selfless service I value.
