Dinner & Book Release with Chef Hugh Acheson

When: Thu., Nov. 3, 6 p.m. 2011
Price: $100 individual or $185 couple

McIntyre's & The Granary—two Fearrington Village establishments team up for a rare opportunity to drink, eat and celebrate with one of America's most highly acclaimed and original chefs. The first event in the Fearrington Culinary Arts and Letters Dinner series toasts Hugh Acheson's new book, A Turn in the New South. Acheson's Atlanta establishment Empire State South was named best restaurant by that city's Creative Loafing weekly. Cocktails with Acheson begin at 6 p.m. at McIntyre's, followed by a four-course dinner from his new book upstairs at The Granary. Tickets include dinner, two wine pairings, tax, gratuity and a signed copy of the book. RSVP at hughachesonatfearrington.eventbrite.com. Acheson also appears at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Quail Ridge Books & Music in Raleigh and at noon Thursday at A Southern Season in Chapel Hill. —Christina Cass
