Diane Daniel

When: Tue., March 8, 7-8 p.m. 2011

Diane Daniel, travel writer and author of a new and expansive guidebook, Farm Fresh North Carolina, hosts this conversation with Panciuto chef and James Beard semifinalist Aaron Vandemark, Helga MacAller of Four Leaf Farm, and Ben Bergmann and Noah Ranells of Fickle Creek Farm. Daniel's book is the first statewide go-to guide of its kind, featuring farmers markets, farm stands, kids activities, U-Picks, corn mazes, vineyards, restaurants, B&Bs and more. Focusing on establishments that are independent and sustainable, she takes you on a personally vetted tour of North Carolina's "green" assets and includes recipes from innkeepers, chefs and farmers on how to best reap the rewards of your day's harvest. She'll also sign copies of her book. The event beings at 7 p.m. —Christina Cass
