Action/Adventure, Suspense/Thriller

Indian top cop Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan) and his comical partner Ali (Uday Chopra) chase down super-villain Sahir (Aamir Khan), a Cirque du Soleil-style acrobat intent on taking down the bank that drove his father to suicide. Sadly, Dhoom 3 ditches the banter that balanced out the dhoom (noise) of motorcycle racing. Sahir's backstory dominates, Jai and Ali lack their usual songs and Jai's nagging wife and Ali's hot girlfriend are forgotten (not even a cameo!). Dhoom 3 has cracked the US Top 10 Box Office, and Indian critics drool over the Hollywood-level stunting in the streets of exotic Chicago. An underused Katrina Kaif is mere decoration. And, does anybody still think a bank can be destroyed by stealing paper money from a building? Since Dhoom 2 is the greatest action movie of all time, this flashy but tepid series installment is a major disappointment.
