I do not live in your community, but I am in disbelief that as African American you all are still working against each other. It is understood that a new updated look maybe needed to draw more business to the area. But, let's not disregard this institution. Mr. Brown (Posted comment) noted some observations that probably should have been shared with the bookstore owner, that perhaps he had not taken into account. And in poor taste stated this man needed to work harder. This businessman has kept his business running for decades, when many have fallen to the way side. So there is no doubt in my mind that he has been working hard.
I would as a person that lives outside of your state like to visit this establishment. I believe that the owner, tenant and the City Council can come up with a solution that will make all parties benefit and the most important is the public. I hope that your city realizes that your business is not only available to the citizens of your community, but to the world and you all should conduct yourselves with that knowledge.
