Detroit has had many names over the years: Arsenal of Democracy, Motor City and Motown. But that was before it became the largest American city to declare bankruptcy. Its modern-day woes play into Lisa D'Amour's dark comedy, which won the Obie Award for best new play in 2013. A suburban couple hit by the economic downturn swaps backyard get-togethers with new neighbors whose situation is even more precarious—both recently came out of rehab. But who's really most and least stable, in a play where economic uncertainties echo deeper interpersonal doubts? And in how many other suburbs are similar dramas playing out? GASP Theatre Company, adult alumni of Cardinal Gibbons' drama program, returns to its old stomping grounds for the third summer in a row. Based on prior outings with the works of Tom Stoppard and Christopher Durang, Detroit should be worth the trip. 7:30 p.m., $5,
