that's my childhood piano. back in 2003 we rented a dumpster & cleaned out that warehouse, had plans to put a recording studio in the basement, show space on ground floor, & living quarters on the 2nd story. i'm not clear on what happened, exactly, but the landlord at the time backed out on the agreement (according to the person who was heading up the project) & we came to the building one day & found chains on the door.

we'd already moved my piano in, but i think that's pretty much the only thing we lost. sort of assumed somebody would have taken it out of there by now. really intense to see this photo 11 years later...
