Price: $8

This strange bill is a minor gamble with the potential for major payoff. Headliner Dege Legg is a mysterious sort who's spent years kicking around the most humid and hot parts of the South, making deeply soulful country blues with a polished Dobro and an unpolished alto. Think Ray LaMontagne with dirt on his nails and trouble in his mind, and you're getting close. Though his commercial recordings have been limited, his music did appear in last year's Django Unchained. The opening slot goes to the new project of Anders Parker, the husky-voiced frontman of erstwhile cosmic rock tinkerers Varnaline. His eponymous duo with longtime friend and collaborator Kendall Meade recently issued its debut, Wild Chorus, a record of wonderfully smoldering and bittersweet duets. Caroline Mamoulides opens. —Grayson Currin
