Dayglow | Red Hat Amphitheater | Clubs & Concerts | Indy Week
This is a past event.
When: Sat., Oct. 13, 6 p.m. 2012
Price: $42-70

Has it really been half a year since Dayglow, "The World's Largest Paint Party," last doused the unclad bodies of Raleigh's post-rave generation with water-soluble paint and electronic dance music? Flooding forth from Florida in 2006 to inundate campuses and amphitheaters, Dayglow is what happens when rave culture goes corporate. That's not to say it can't be a good time, as long as you like your music deafening, your colors splattered, your I.D. fake, your anti-conformity messages flawlessly ambiguous, your aggro male energy levels high and your drug use tacitly condoned unless it gets too obvious. Expect shutter shades, glow toys, paint cannons, laser lights and the chance to feel like a mummy if you're a day past 30. Go hard in the paint at 6 p.m. for $30–$60. —Brian Howe
