Davidians, Enemy Waves, Autospkr

When: Sun., July 17, 9 p.m. 2016
Price: $7
After a pair of singles for punk labels Deranged and Sorry State, Raleigh’s Davidians are readying an anticipated eight-song platter for the Raleigh-based Sorry State. Two new songs, presumably culled from the forthcoming record, show the band expanding on its already vicious mix of taut and moody post-punk and searing hardcore. Guitarist Colin Swanson-White conjures a smear of noise to drive “Boiled Nephilim” while singer Cameron Craig lunges like an attack dog. —Bryan C. Reed
