David Mayfield, Sean McConnell | Pour House Music Hall | Clubs & Concerts | Indy Week
This is a past event.

David Mayfield, Sean McConnell

When: Tue., Nov. 17, 9 p.m. 2015
Price: $10-$12
Before he stepped solo, David Mayfield was a hired gun for the likes of Cadillac Sky, The Avett Brothers and his sister, Jessica Lea Mayfield. Like her and the Avetts, Mayfield tweaks—rather than adheres to—the traditional lines of country music. He pairs effortless dexterity honed by years in the family bluegrass band to lovably goofy showmanship. Both come out in Mayfield’s frequently raucous live sets. The songwriter offers a combination of music and comedy that would have gotten along handily in the Vaudeville era and certainly stands out now. —Patrick Wall
