Re: “Reunion offers Archers of Loaf the chance to reiterate their influence

Grayson did a great job then too on this story. It is really good work.
I wrote my comment only knowing what I have read before from him and I have not read everything Grayson has written, but what I have read is so biased most of the time and sometimes pretentious. Sometimes the articles he writes are just so sujective by puting one person down to try to praise another and the person he usually praises is usually what ever is cool at the time. That just is not good writting to me. That is the nice thing about writing and of arts though, every writer is different and can't make everyone happy through their work. Every writer is an artist and I am sure there are some people that like Grayson's work. I would just like see see a more objective and two-sided approach to music writing than some what I have read of his. Someone else may think I am crazy. I am sure Grayson has his fans and there is no question that he contributes to the music world in many ways. I would like to see more reporting than opinionating. I beleive that is what really makes a good music writer and editor. This articles does just that though. Great work, the both of you.

Re: “Reunion offers Archers of Loaf the chance to reiterate their influence

I wish Brian Howe was music editor at the Indy and that his music reporting was featured more often. He is great. So many of the present editor's articles critique bands and performances in such a subjective way. Grayson's writing is consistently biased and simply just is not good so much of the time. Some much of what Grayson wites is so bad. I can't believe he has that job although at least he knows enough to hire Mr. Howe some. Brian Howe's writing is consistently good and he has a good sensibility that shows in his work. This is a great article Mr. Howe and a good band. Keep up the great work.
