Dan Deacon, Prince Rama, Ben O'Brien

When: Thu., April 16, 9 p.m. 2015
Price: $15
A decade before anyone could describe PC Music as “futuristic,” Baltimore’s Dan Deacon was making hyperactive pop for eggheads looking to let loose. Instead of setting up a weird plastic avatar of anonymity, Deacon depended on his humanity. He set up in the middle of the floor in a too-tight tee, hunched over tangled gear, sweating like a hardcore frontman. The pedestrian hedonism of his live show has become a lasting trademark, and Glass Riffer, released this winter, remains set on spastic. —Jeff Klingman
