Re: “Mary-Ann Baldwin takes China tour with campaign cash; McFarlane pays own way

Does Mary-Ann Baldwin even want to be re-elected? She's not raising much money, and now she's spending what she has raised to go to China. On top of that, she's not showing up to candidate forums, and when she does she says nothing. At the Renaissance Park forum she was visibly irritated, and obviously didn't want to be there. I think it's time we play the song "Hit the Road Jack, and Don't Cha Come Back" when she bothers to show up for now on.

Re: “Brother, can you spare a dime for my Raleigh City Council campaign?

Bob you of all people should be shouting to the heavens that big money isn't driving this race. As for your criticisms on Lee Sartain's website: When did you become a web designer? A site like his would run 40-50k...just for the design. As for the money's he's raising, he'll probably perform better than anyone else in this race on the lowest cost campaign. THAT'S THE REAL STORY OF THIS RACE! Besides he probably doesn't need to pay for advertising since he's in your paper or the N&O at least once or twice a week.

Re: “Mary-Ann Baldwin

Saying "see answer above" is basically saying: "I don't really know how to answer this, because I don't have a clue"

Re: “At 28, Lee Sartain has an ambitious vision for Raleigh

Talking about divorcing the city from TTA might be controversial, but it's absolutely the right thing to do. No one in the Triangle believes that TTA can put a light rail into operation.

We ought to get behind Lee on this issue. Let's put those recently painted green buses out of business.
