Re: “Chapel Hill Town Council chows down

The food expenditures hardly seem extravagant, especially when you average it over a year's time. I've attended some CH council meetings in the past, and they frequently go on for 3 and 4 hours. Having food and beverages to help the representatives stay alert only makes sense. The good thing is, with transparency in government, the electorate can decide for themselves if too much money is being spent on food.
