C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters

When: Sat., Nov. 6, 4 & 8 p.m. 2010
Price: $40-91

Worried that you're going to hell? Well, who isn't these days, aside from atheists, anyway. But what better way to avoid eternal damnation than by learning the devil's tricks of the trade? Find out and get some laughs when the long-running Off-Broadway production of C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters hits Raleigh for two shows only. Currently in its sixth month at New York City's Westside Theatre (following another six months at Chicago's Mercury Theatre), Max McLean's take on an elder, demon providing instructional letters to lead humans toward the path of damnation has brought a new audience to Lewis' staple of comic and fantastic fiction. The production is presented by the Fellowship for the Performing Arts. Shows are today only at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets are $40–$91, with day-of student rush tickets $25. —Zack Smith
