Re: “After Chapel Hill police detain Charles Brown, a call for oversight

Seriously....You stated that you can't just stop someone for "looking like the person" that the police are searching for?? How else do you confirm that? I don't see any harm in checking to make sure you have the right guy.. He wasn't held for hours and hours and interrogated from what I'm reading. Its was one hour. People need to man up and just help the cops once in a while. Did he ever give the police his ID? I didn't read that he did. This race stuff is just way out of control. We could complain that we didn't get the correct healthcare at the local hospital, maybe they took the white guy in the ER before they took me... So I file a complaint? NO I think we have bigger issues than petty things such as this. Its time consumin. I think those who do not want police protection should sign a waiver and should be exempt from police help if needed if its so racially motivated. Then we wouldn't have to worry about being discriminated against. I am thankful that I have the option to call the police if something happened with my own family, otherwise i would be waiting on some joe doe to come help my family in trouble... Who are you gonna call??
