Come Out and Play

When: Sept. 1-30 2014
For the 13th year in a row, more than 60 local artists will display sculptures in a variety of materials and forms on a 17-acre horse farm in Pittsboro. Begun in 2002 as a way to honor the victims of 9/11, Come Out and Play can exhibit large-scale works unsuitable for interior spaces. A number of pieces will be for sale, with all proceeds going to the artists. After the Aug. 23 opening reception, Saturday picnics from 4 p.m. to dark run through Sept. 20. Members of The North Carolina Songwriters Co-op perform music at all events. —Will Partin
