Cody Jinks, Jonathan Parker

When: Wed., Nov. 11, 9 p.m. 2015
Price: $10-$75
There are some singers whose voices and styles are forever linked. Could you imagine if Tom Waits tried to be a Michael Bublé-style crooner? Similarly, it would be a sin for Texan Cody Jinks to sing anything but sad country songs. His “Cast No Stones” hits a lot of crucial country benchmarks—he sings about booze and the Bible over woozy guitars—but Jinks’ approach is more sincere than just a tour of genre tropes. —Allison Hussey
