Coathangers. Piedmontsmen

When: Tue., July 10, 9 p.m. 2012
Price: $8-9

Imagine a house party trashed by teens and unruly drunks. The band you'd want playing might be The Coathangers. Hailing from Atlanta, this all-female dark punk outfit claims a signature sound, although "Hurricane" sounds uncomfortably similar to The Horrors' "Count In Fives." Expect slightly ear-pinching, ominous struts through the set list, with others bearing blues and reggae affectations on bass and drum. The Piedmontsmen open the 9 p.m. show; tickets are $8 in advance, $9 at the door. Visit —James Hatfield
