Clyde Edgerton, a Durham native, is a legend of Southern fiction. This week, he celebrates the release of his new novel, The Night Train, this week with "A Weekend in the Triangle," five readings and signings in three days at four Triangle independent booksellers. Thursday he's at Quail Ridge Books & Music at 7:30 p.m. to read and perform music. Friday he reads at Duke at noon as part of the Osler Literary Roundtable series, then heads to the Regulator Bookshop for a 7 p.m. reading. You can catch Edgerton Saturday at McIntyre's Books in Pittsboro at 11 a.m., or at Flyleaf Books in Chapel Hill at 6 p.m. — Zack Smith
