(2012, 108 min, South Korea, in Korean w/ English subtitles) Introduced by Prof. Nayoung Aimee Kwon this Meul O. directed film explores a dark chapter in Korean history. Set during the 1948 Jeju Massacre & tells a story of terrified villagers seeking sanctuary in a nearby cave after learning that soldiers have been ordered to shoot them on sight. They struggle to stay hopeful but their growing fears drive them to desperate measures.
