John D --- You need to go watch a gassing. However no one will let you watch because it is so awful. The dogs smell death. They are put in a dark chamber together...no matter what temperment or size. Vicious along with family pets. They fight and bite each other from fear. That is why the chambers are covered with blood. They dont' bleed from gas. It is a barbaric means of death. Hauser is a HUGE conflict of interest. He would be out of the gas chamber business if North Carolina switched to EBI.
Re: “Use of gassing challenged”
John, what you are not taking into account is the fighting and suffering that goes on BEFORE the gas has a chance to kill them. Fight or flight is correct...and fight they do. Imagine a tiny puppy being torn apart by a big dog before they even start the gas. This is not humane. It is barbaric. And...why, if there is even a slight doubt, NOT EBI. We KNOW it's peacful for sure. I also, think it's time for North Carolina to make a change. I am embarrased to say the state I live in gasses. We do sound like some kind of back woods rednecks. Lets do the thing we KNOW is the right thing to do.
