CHRIS ROBINSON BROTHERHOOD

LINCOLN THEATRE, RALEIGH

SATURDAY, NOV. 7–SUNDAY, NOV. 8

Despite intermittent interruptions provided by Black Crowes reunions, frontman Chris Robinson (former frontman, anyway; the Southern rockers have broken up again) has unfurled his freak flag for the last half-decade while leading the Chris Robinson Brotherhood. He hinted at weirdness during the Crowes' latter years, but flanked by fellow songwriter and guitarist Neal Casal along with Crowes keyboardist Adam MacDougall, Burning Tree bassist Mark Dutton and jazz drummer Tony Leone, Robinson stretches out during psychedelic blues-rock jams. They meander far past the attention span required for the Crowes' concise radio hits. Those who appreciate Robinson's rambling tendencies will be rewarded with a pair of sets each night of this two-night stand. 9 p.m. Sat.; 8 p.m. Sun., $20–$35, 126 E. Cabarrus St., Raleigh, 919-821-4111, www.lincolntheatre.com. —Spencer Griffith
