Chocolate Festival

When: Wed., Oct. 13, 1 p.m. 2010
Price: $15 ($10 for students)

The seventh annual N.C. State Women's Center Chocolate Festival aims to satisfy your sweet tooth, and there's no need to feel guilty, because it's for a good cause. Proceeds go mainly to the Women's Center, with a portion going to breast cancer education and the Kay Yow/ WBCA Cancer Fund. So while you're enjoying the heavenly goodness, pick up info about the prevention, early detection and treatment of breast cancer. This year's vendors include local stalwarts Edible Art Bakery and Peche de Chocolat, as well as the only-one-name-needed Godiva. One ticket, which equals six pieces of chocolate, costs $15 or $10 for students (cash and checks only). The event runs 1–4 p.m. Sarah Ewald
