Re: “Local 506 owner Glenn Boothe talks about the changing atmosphere of rock clubs

yessirnosir, Chapel Hill 5/ 4/2007 - 2:04pm 2:00 AM? A lot of people posting in this thread sound like they probably haven't been to a local rock show in about 5 years. Since when do shows at 506 run past 12 or 12:30? If you're getting too old to skip Gilmore Girls and stay out until midnight, that's fine, but don't blame your encroaching decrepitude on rock clubs. Report this comment yea I agree with above... Glenn's done a fabulous job with start times in the last few years. kudos!

Re: “Local 506 owner Glenn Boothe talks about the changing atmosphere of rock clubs

Hi, I think our friend from Boston got it wrong...noone's questioning that people will line the block to go see the New Pornographers. It's attendance to what Glenn so aptly titled bands at the "discovery stage" that is suffering. You have to remember too that most of the diehard local music fans here are musicians themselves and one can wear themselves out with all the great shows in a week. So alot of times I can't make it out bc of sheer music fatigue....
