Children of the Horn

When: Sun., Aug. 4, 7 p.m. 2013
Price: $10
You want to hear an indie rock or alt-country band, take your pick from dozens in the clubs on any given week. But if you're in the mood for a versatile ensemble of talented players blasting feel-good brass music, Children of the Horn's combo of baritone sax, trombone, cornet and tuba nearly has the market cornered. Guitar and drums help keep the pace lively. This gig is part of the MusiCoal series in Burning Coal's Murphey School Auditorium. —Peter Blackstock
