Re: “Conceal-carry permit holders can now bring guns into restaurants and bars. What could go wrong?

I was actually not aware that this law was implemented until now. After reading many comments from those who do carry guns and are upset by the establishments prohibiting them because they feel that there has never and will never be a shoot out, my question to you is this - if that is in fact the case, then why do you even feel it is necessary to carry a gun into a restaurant in the first place? I am a non smoker and will not go into a restaurant that allows smoking (if there are any these days), however, I am not afforded that same option about establishments that allow concealed guns. Up until now, as I mentioned, I didn't know about restaurants posting these signs, but I would at least like to have the choice of where I take my family to eat. Because unlike sitting next to a smoker where I can choose to get up and leave, I'd have no way of knowing whether the person at the next table might be the very first person to start shooting (for whatever reason) and I just happened to be in the way. I am not making judgments about gun owners being crazy or irresponsible, I just want to be able to make the choice that I feel is right for myself and my family.
