The final event in The Philharmonic Association’s five-day festival, “Celebrating North Carolina in our 350th Year” will feature music with historical connections to our State. The Triangle Youth Orchestra will play a music from the time of North Carolina’s founding and a piece about the sailing ships used to discover the New World. The Triangle Youth Symphony will play music by Lamar Stringfield, founder of the North Carolina and Asheville Symphonies, music from the famous North Carolina outdoor drama, “Unto These Hills”, and the entire “Western Set from Lady Kate” by Robert Ward.
