Re: “Tillis: I'd Arrest Sit-In Participants "If That's What's Necessary"

Thom would like to get to work on stuff like defunding agencies that protect consumers and making sure financial advisors can get back to selling their clients products against their interests, no time for these grandstanders trying to save lives.

Re: “Five questions with Raleigh-based artist Dalek

Love the article and the artist's choice of pseudonym. But, when referring to the series, we don't abbreviate to Dr. It's Doctor Who. #NerdStyleManual

Re: “Dumb and D.O.M.A.

Marriage has changed over time, it existed since before recorded time (before Christianity ever got a hold of it), and will continue to be an institution that reflect the society that sanctifies it.

Just as biblical marriage involved polygamy, the right of slave owners to marry their slaves to one another against their will, and an injunction that rape victims should marry their rapists (provided they were virgins or something like that) in a Bronze Age society of ignorant savages, in the modern world we should treat everyone equally under the law. If two straights can marry, there is no reason two LGBTs can't enjoy the same rights and responsibilities. Anything else is bigoted, intolerant, hateful, and wrong.

Traditions change. Some folks just need to get over it already.…
