Carrboro Film Festival

When: Sun., Nov. 21, 1 p.m. 2010
Price: $7 ($3 ages 12 and under)

The fifth annual Carrboro Film Festival is back, bringing a smorgasbord of short film goodies. This one-day festival will screen 28 different short films—all of them less than 20 minutes long—divided up into 80-minute blocks. Known around the Triangle for its showcase of independent filmmakers, this festival really gives a voice to the underappreciated medium that is short film while providing a vital boost to the Orange County filmmaking community. A brief Q & A will follow each film block, and an awards presentation will take place after the last block. Look for an after-party at The Station, 201 E. Main St. The festival runs from 1–7 p.m; admission is $7 and $3 for ages 12 and under. —Belem Destefani
