Re: “Reuniting Fourteen Durham Families, Black Mama's Day Bail Out Aims to Reform the State's Racially Biased Ransom Demands

Wow Mike that is horrible. How can you say that about an entire group of people? What I don't understand is why these women were locked up in the first place. I have been in the bail bonds business for years (https://yourbailpros.com/nc/durham) and STILL cannot understand how people get wrongfully convicted and sent to jail when they are in fact innocent. I don't think there's someone in NC who is setting up these women for crimes they did not commit. How does this happen?

With that said, I am super please to read that these women were able to get out and on with their lives. The racial issue when it comes to segregating and imprisoning is disgusting and something needs to be done. I work hard to get people out of jail every day, especially those that are truly innocent and are wrongfully arrested by the police.
