Captain Rainbow Imagination Show

When: Wed., July 27, 1 p.m. 2011

Never fear, the defender of creativity and energizer of imagination is here! Captain Rainbow is one of the myriad characters of Hardin Minor who, as a professional mime, founded N.C.-based Omimeo Mime Theatre and has dazzled audiences since 1978. Minor's background as a New York-trained dancer and performer inspires his transformation, and he delights children of all ages with this space-age vaudeville revue of juggling, color, illusion, dance and mime. The show begins at 1 p.m. in the East Building Auditorium and runs 50 minutes. Tickets are $5, or $3 for NCMA members. Come early for a drop-in crafts program at 11 a.m. —Christina Cass
