Cantari: "From the Convent to Abbey Road"

When: Sun., June 9, 4 p.m. 2013
Price: $6-17

How often do you get to hear a concert spanning many centuries of music? Led by conductor Sue T. Klausmeyer, the a cappella ensemble Cantari presents "From the Convent to Abbey Road," which reaches back to medieval chants and ahead to the Beatles. Part of the Chapel Hill group called Voices, which swells to 130 voices in its largest configuration, Cantari has made a name for itself through themed shows that cut across musical movements. They've also explored historical events, such as a program centered upon the 1914 Christmas truce in World War I. —Chris Vitiello
