Kristen Stewart's infamously restrained acting style actually suits her role here as Amy, a young Army private serving as a guard at Guantanamo Bay. It's a mind-numbing mission for her and her fellow soldiers and sometimes you can't help but wonder who has the upper hand—the unseasoned troops or the detainees who have been there for years. Amy develops an unlikely relationship with Ali, an English-speaking Muslim who has been held there for eight years. The camp's design and suffocating air of hopelessness feel real but the central relationship seems shoehorned in as a plot device. A ludicrously overwrought final act doesn't help matters.

Director: Peter Sattler
Writer: Peter Sattler
Cast: Kristen Stewart, John Carroll Lynch, Lane Garrison, Julia Duffy, Tara Holt, Yousuf Azami, Peyman Moaadi, Joseph Julian Soria and Ser'Darius Blain
