Camp Lo, Stalley, Terry Urban, Kaze, Apple Juice Kid

When: Mon., Nov. 22, 9:30 p.m. 2010
Price: $10-12

Borrowing its name from the 1979 Gary Weis documentary that chronicled the gang culture of two South Bronx crews, 80 Blocks From Tiffany's is also the title of Camp Lo's soon-to-be-released LP, on which you'll find members Geechie Suede and Sonny Cheeba reimagining their diamond-crook playboy slang over beats by the legendary producer Pete Rock. If Pete Rock can live up to his reputation as "Chocolate Boy Wonder," Camp Lo might have another classic on its hands to rival the 1997 debut LP, Uptown Saturday Night. Stalley, Terry Urban, Kaze and the Applejuice Kid open. —Eric Tullis
