Re: “Opinion: A Local Filmmaker Says Indies Need to Lead Hollywood to Diversity

Bob thank you! As a theatrical producer I have always sought out the non traditional. The flavor that it brings to the piece of work at hand is extraordinary. Allowing the actors to be actors and bring the piece of work to life is their job. All the parts must be in place. A great director, mature actors and a well written script brings a vision and life to the work. Diversity is crucial to a body of work that wants to tell the stories of people. All people experience life. Yet as a country that divide still exist and by writing and casting great bodies of theatrical and Indy film works we can remove that divide. The human condition is experienced by all and the actor brings that human condition to life. As an actor I was never offered those roles I felt any good actor could do. My solution was to create a company that offered great theatre to the public by hiring a diverse group of actors to portray life as we live it. We must be the answer by leading the way. The audience from experience will accept great acting and a great story. Thank you!
